What is tea ceremony about?

It’s about making and drinking tea, and it’s not about tea at all.
It’s about arranging flowers and preparing the tea room, or not.
It’s about precision and doing things in order, I think.
It’s about interaction of host and guest, maybe.
It’s about harmony with the seasons, perhaps.
Or letting go of mistakes,
Being not doing,

    Miyo,

    Hi Margery,
Thank you for the “being present” poem about tea. Like much of life, especially now, the busyness, the extraneous absorb a lot of energy. Quakers seek the small voice within, the Inner Light for wholeness, oneness. However we can bring peace within and without, this is what we all need.
(The typo is the 2nd word after Sunday. R needs to change to S- tasting, not tarting, though that brings to mind some delicious, petite tarts!♥️)

    Peace,
    Miyo

    Margie,
As always I love your posts. As I scanned below, a typo “Tarting” instead of tasting.

All is well (except for a cough/cold) here. Just came off a 3.6 mile hike around John Heinz Tinicum National Wildlife Refuge about 7 miles from our apartment. Aside from airplane and traffic sounds from nearby, noticing turtles, swans and the changing foliage with good friends was a pleasure. We followed up with lunch in Chinatown.
Daien no shin a week from Saturday. Get my brain & body ready!
    Be well!
